K4 and Kindergarten

Our Bible-based curriculum correlates with our monthly Fruit of the Spirit and life skills. Daily Bible stories are read, along with prayer at morning, snack, and lunch. We begin with the Fruit of love, and add one more each month, giving the students opportunities each day to learn, write, read, practice, and eventually live out these traits.

  • JOY OF LEARNING

Our classrooms provide a nurturing and supportive atmosphere that fosters individual growth in academic, artistic, physical social, emotional, and faith development. Our VPK teachers cultivate the joy of learning.

    ACADEMICS

K4 students follow a weekly theme and develop beginning reading and writing skills through play-based lessons.  They explore mathematics and science with many hands-on tools. In social studies, students learn about their community and the world around them while celebrating its diverse history.

    SPECIAL AREAS

Students attend at least one special area class every day, including Art, Music, PE, Library, and Spanish. Children enjoy singing, dancing, jumping, skipping, listening to stories, and “traveling” to far away lands. In shows twice a year, students proudly share what they have learned and created.

  • Reading and Social Studies

Language and reading skills come through listening, comprehension, writing and dramatic play and through phonemic awareness and phonics instruction. In social studies, students learn about cultures, past and present, and connect our community to the wider world. Music and dramatic presentations add some spice to our day.

    MATH & SCIENCE

In science, students study animals, trees, weather, and materials in our world. In math, students learn number sense, counting, measurement, and more through hands-on exploration. Field trips enrich our curriculum.
