Are you wondering why you should support the I 💙 St. Barnabas Fund?  This informative blog will help you understand why supporting the school is so important. If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Marketing and Development, Sarah McAskill, (386) 734-3005 smcaskill@sbesyes.org

So you’ve decided to send your children to private school. Chances are, your child’s private education won’t come totally free. Whether you end up the beneficiary of financial aid or your family pays full tuition, you may find yourself with the opportunity to invest your philanthropic dollars with your child’s school. For some families, philanthropy is woven into the fabric of your family culture, for others, this may be a new experience.
We believe strongly that private school is the best kind of education you can give your children and the money you invest in their tuition and yearly gifts to the school shape the quality of their experience.

Diverse Student Body
Generous giving from parents, community members, and alumni is part of the funding that allows schools like St. Barnabas School to provide financial aid to our students. And that provision of financial ensures that our halls are filled with students from varying races, cultures, and socioeconomic groups. As our world and our communities become more and more diverse we are proud of the way that giving to private education has enabled our school to grow in diversity as well.

A High Tech School
Technology is not going anywhere. In fact, it’s changing the way we live, work, and learn. At St. Barnabas we do our best to stay current with educational technology in order to provide the best education for your children. This is a prime example of why philanthropic investment from our community members is vitally important. Giving to private education allows us to update our computing power, provide opportunities for online learning, and provides teachers with funding to invest in new technologies that change the way we teach for the better.

Set An Example Of Generosity
We all preach to our children the importance of being generous and kind, but how are we setting an example for them? Our children learn more from what we do than from what we say. If you want them to grow up with a heart for charity there is no better time than the present to teach them. When your children see you giving to private education they will learn that giving is an important value to hold, and they will also learn that their education is a worthy cause. What’s better than that?

When you make an investment of your time, money, or other resources to your local private school you’re sure to get a return on your investment. It’s generous gifts from community members that allow schools like ours to raise the bar on our student’s education.
