Campus
Life

Through the combined efforts of our academic and special area teachers, we mold well-rounded and engaged students.

Our tools for developing the whole child

At St. Barnabas Episcopal School our strong academic departments are bolstered by the other activities and organizations that make up daily life on our campus. From weekly chapel services to clubs and athletics, these combined activities promote well-roundedness within our student body.

LEARNING LIFE LESSONS THROUGH ATHLETICS

St. Barnabas Episcopal School has the largest athletics offering in any other elementary or middle school in Volusia County. But to us, sports are more than mere competition. Our students’ engagement in sports helps them to learn about commitment, sportsmanship, and dealing with adversity.

EXPERIENCING THE WORLD THROUGH THE ARTS

Creativity is a critical element in learning, which is why at St. Barnabas, we weave the arts through all of our academic programming. Plus, students are given many opportunities to share their artistic expressions with the community throughout the year.

PRACTICING FAITH AS A COMMUNITY

Each week we host a school community chapel service including a time of worship and a life-giving lesson that meets students where they are developmentally. This special time gives them the opportunity to experience the presence of God within their community.

LEARNING OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM

Our enrichment program offers students the opportunity to dive deeper into some of the subjects from their curriculum. Students develop new skills and gain self confidence through field trips, science labs, advanced math challenges, and more.

ENCOURAGING PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH CLUBS

A wide variety of clubs and organizations gives students opportunities to develop leadership skills, team building, and sportsmanship outside of a traditional classroom environment.
